KDF Technologies, LLC, located in Northern NJ, seeks an Electrical Controls Engineer to design and integrate electrical systems for high-tech vacuum environments. You will use CAD tools, collaborate across disciplines, and ensure compliance with NEC/NFPA/UL/CE while supporting DFMA and prototype testing.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or electrical technology, 2+ years of electrical design experience, and familiarity with CAD software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or electrical technology.
• Proficient in CAD and electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, UL, and CE standards.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical design.

Responsibilities

• Design, detail, and integrate electrical components and systems for safe equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design complex systems.
• Design power distribution and protective circuit layouts.
• Develop and troubleshoot PLC-based equipment control systems.
• Create and maintain electrical schematics and cable drawings.
• Interface with customers, sales, and management to define design parameters.
• Perform DFMA practices for R&D and production.
• Assemble prototype electrical systems and test components.
• Identify and resolve obsolescence issues efficiently.
• Limited domestic travel (<10% per year).
