Job summary

REISER seeks an Electrical Controls Engineer to join the Engineering team in Boston, MA. With over 60 years in food equipment, REISER designs and supports high-performance automation for diverse product lines, requiring robust control systems and reliable instrumentation.

The role focuses on specifying components, designing and commissioning electrical systems, programming PLCs/HMI, and supporting installations and startups on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required.
• 4+ years designing and implementing industrial control systems.
• Strong Rockwell Automation knowledge and PLC/HMI programming.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers and teams to define automation requirements.
• Specify electrical and control system components per safety standards.
• Develop detailed BOMs and component specifications.
• Design control schematics, panels, wiring diagrams, and network layout.
• Build electrical control panels and assemble systems.
• Program, commission, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, motors, and Ethernet networks.
• Support FAT/SAT testing and site start-ups at customer sites.
• Create technical documentation and provide remote technical support.
