Job summary
Smurfit WestRock is seeking an Electrical and Control Engineer to own the mill's electrical power distribution and control systems. The role collaborates with production, maintenance, and engineering to troubleshoot issues and drive improvement while safeguarding electrical safety.
Onsite at the Sheldon Springs mill in Vermont, you will lead capital projects and coordinate with internal teams and external vendors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of AC/DC electrical control circuits and MV/LV power systems.
- 5+ years in project, operations, or maintenance engineering roles.
Responsibilities
- Own mill electrical power distribution and control systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical and control issues and develop timely solutions.
- Support maintenance outages, startup, and on-site troubleshooting.
- Train and coach electrical staff in troubleshooting and skills.
- Manage project drawings, scopes, costs, and schedules for capital/expense projects.
- Coordinate design activities with engineers, vendors, and mill personnel.
