Job summary

Land O'Frost is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to own automation at a key manufacturing facility. You will serve as the controls expert, wiring, programming, and troubleshooting PLC and HMI systems while driving capital projects from concept to implementation.

You will collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering teams to improve plant performance and deploy advanced automation solutions across packaging lines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electrical engineering tech or related field required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical controls and PLC programming in manufacturing environments.
• Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical and control systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Fanuc robotics integration (PLC to Fanuc) preferred.

• Design, develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems.

How You Will Contribute

• Serve as the facility's subject matter expert for electrical controls and automation systems.
• Design, develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems.

• Work with Engineering, Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to improve plant performance.
• Provide technical guidance and training related to controls and automation systems.
• Support the development and implementation of engineering standards and best practices.

About You

• Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Technology, or a related technical field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in:
• Electrical controls
• PLC programming
• Manufacturing environments
• Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical and control systems
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to program, troubleshoot, and optimize Fanuc robotics systems including PLC to Fanuc integration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturing or food manufacturing experience
• Experience with packaging automation and automated production equipment
• Knowledge of capital project execution and equipment commissioning
• Understanding of industrial networking, instrumentation, and control systems
• Professional license path background or progression toward technical certification and advancement
