Job summary

Acara Solutions, Inc. in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to design electrical systems for custom machines, program controls, and create code from scratch.

You will use AutoCAD to design schematics, select PLCs, sensors, motors, and HMIs, and provide hands-on debugging and customer support during installation.

• 10+ years experience with AutoCAD.
• 10+ years experience with servo motors, servo drives, HMIs, and PLC using Studio 5000.

• Program PLCs to control machine operations.
• Create code from scratch.
• Program HMIs so operators can run and monitor the equipment.
• Test and troubleshoot machines before shipment.
• Provide technical support to customers during installation or after startup.
• Work closely with mechanical engineers, assembly technicians, and customers.

• The Electrical Controls Engineer is responsible for designing the electrical systems that operate custom machines and programming the controls that make those machines function.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
• 10+ years of experience with AutoCAD or a similar application.
• 10+ years of experience with Servo motors, kinetics, servo drives, HMI's tags and PLC USING STUDIO 500- create code from scratch.
