Job summary

Massman Companies is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to design, modify, and optimize PLC programs, integrate advanced control systems, and troubleshoot complex electrical and automation challenges on our precision packaging machinery.

You will apply knowledge of NEC/NFPA/UL codes, schematics, motion control, and industrial networks to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation, while supporting customer needs and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in controls, automation, or electrical assembly.
• High School diploma or GED; Associate or Bachelor's preferred in Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation, or related field.
• Demonstrated expertise with PLC programming (Allen Bradley strongly preferred) and HMI development.
• Experience with motion control systems, robotics, and industrial networks; knowledge of NEC/NFPA/UL codes; proven troubleshooting experience.

As Controls Engineer, you will play a critical role in bringing our machines to life. You’ll design, modify, and optimize PLC programs, integrate advanced control systems, and troubleshoot complex electrical and automation challenges to ensure peak machine performance.

Using your strong knowledge of electrical codes (NEC, NFPA, UL), schematics, communication networks, motion control, and machine safety standards, you’ll help ensure our equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably.
