Sure Controls Inc. in Wisconsin seeks an Electrical Controls Designer to translate requirements into detailed schematics, panel layouts and BOMs for customer projects, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
The role covers creating 2D/3D enclosure drawings, developing base ePlan designs, acting as SME for CAD tools (AutoCad, AutoCad Electrical, ePlan), designing panel builds, and ensuring designs meet safety and company standards; travel may be required.
The Electrical Controls Designer is responsible for designing machine and process control systems as required by the customer in support of overall project objectives. This role translates functional requirements and engineering specifications into detailed electrical schematics, panel layouts, and bills of materials while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Two-year degree or related technical certificate and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience and/or Training: 3+ years of related experience and/or education/training in electrical design with emphasis on controls. Strong Communication skills (listening, questioning, speaking), Time Management skills.
Technology/Equipment:Computing/Software Skills including Microsoft Office Suite, and experience with design software, such as AutoCad, AutoCad Electrical, or ePlan.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Four-year degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience and/or Training 7+ years related experience and/or education/training in electrical controls design. Strong Communication skills (listening, questioning, speaking), Time Management skills.
Technology/Equipment: Computing/Software Skills including Microsoft Office Suite and prior experience using ePlan to automate panel build process.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:
Sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Speak and hear communications.
Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Occasional travel (local, national, international) is required.
May be required to work hours outside of the typical 7:30a.m. - 4:30p.m. day.
