Job summary

Electronic Marine Systems seeks a skilled engineer to design and supervise the manufacture of control and monitoring systems for Commercial and Naval Ships. You will produce equipment drawings, electrical wiring diagrams, and interface designs while shaping the HMI, PLC architecture, networks, and communications interfaces.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing control and monitoring systems for ships.
• Ability to produce equipment drawings, electrical wiring diagrams, and interface designs.
• Familiarity with HMI, PLC architecture, networks and communication interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Design and supervise manufacturing of shipboard control and monitoring systems.
• Create drawings: equipment, electrical wiring diagrams, and interface designs.
• Assist in functional design of HMI, PLC architecture, networks, and communications interfaces.
• Perform Factory Acceptance Tests of finished systems for customers and regulatory bodies.
• Support commissioning and sea trials from office, with occasional ship visits.
• Provide technical advice to sales and service personnel.

Assist in the functional design of HMI, PLC architecture, networks and communication interfaces. Perform Factory acceptance test of the finished system to both customer and regulatory societies. Support commissioning and sea trials from the office but at times visiting the ship.Finally provide technical advice and assistance to sales, and service personnel.
