Job summary

SJE, operating under the Revere brand, is seeking an Electrical/Control Systems Engineer II to support our Charlotte, NC office. You will bring automated systems to life—from design to programming to on-site commissioning and troubleshooting—working directly with clients and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely and successfully.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, proficiency with Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, and GE platforms, and a willingness to travel up to 60%

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
• 5-7 years in automation design, programming, startup, service, or commissioning.
• Experience with PLC/HMI/SCADA systems and industrial networks.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs and electrical schematics.
• Willingness to travel 30–60%.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical control panels and systems per project specs; adhere to UL508A, NEC, IEEE.
• Configure PLCs, OITs, and SCADA for industrial processes.
• Lead intermediate projects; mentor team members.
• Lead field commissioning, I/O checkout, testing, and startup.
• Troubleshoot real-time issues across hardware, software and networks.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and end users.
• Provide field service and post-install support.
• Redline drawings and document commissioning activities.
• Travel regionally and nationally 30–60%.
