Job summary

Sterling Technologies is seeking a skilled electrical assembler in Michigan to build and wire control panels and electromechanical assemblies per schematics and BOMs. You will review drawings, fabricate parts, and use hand tools to support precise assembly.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in electrical wiring, strong math and communication skills, and a continuous-learning mindset in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Has panel wiring and building experience and strong mechanical skills and aptitude.
• Has experience in reading and interpreting schematic drawings.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in electrical wiring field.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in basic math skills.
• Good communication skills, is motivated, and has a great attitude.
• Ability to work independently.
• Desire to work within a continuous learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wire, and terminate control panels and electromechanical assemblies per schematics and BOMs.
• Review schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and BOMs for accuracy and manufacturability.
• Fabricate or form parts using drills, calipers, cutters, or saws.
• Use hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
• Plan with supervisors or engineers to resolve assembly or production problems.
• Drill or tap holes to mount control units and provide openings.
• Mark up drawings and BOMs to document the as-built product.
• Perform deburring, grinding, sawing; operate pallet jacks.
• Install finished assemblies in cases and cabinets.
• Complete point-to-point wiring and install PLCs, relays, lights, switches.
