Base pay range

Job Description

• Design electrical systems and equipment for innovative industrial machines
• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical standards, codes, and safety regulations
• Prepare accurate cost and material estimates for projects
• Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing team members during installation and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and define new product development opportunities
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and reliability
• Design and develop safety programs for automation systems including robotics
• Review and validate safety performance level of control systems
• Provide technical recommendations to ensure seamless integration of third-party equipment

Required Skills

• 1-3 years of proven experience working in an industrial automation manufacturing environment
• Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or related technical field with a focus on the manufacturing of automated industrial machinery – will consider a Technician who is able to Design electrical systems
• Knowledge in electrical engineering principles, standards, and practices such as NFPA, UL, and NEC
• Strong proficiency with CAD software such as EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical
• Familiarity with automation and control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and industrial communication protocols
• Ability to perform functional testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of electrical systems to ensure proper operation of machines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams
• Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Travel up to 15%
