Job summary

Amteck, LLC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager on electrical construction projects. The role requires a basic understanding of electrical construction, strong communication, and adaptability to change.

You will work from job sites under daily direction of the PM and mentor from the VP of Construction. Key duties include tracking cost and progress, managing RFIs/submittals, and coordinating with multiple departments to keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of assistant PM experience in electrical construction, industrial or commercial work or a bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field.
• Basic knowledge in Electrical Project Management, NEC, OSHA, and Safety Codes/Practices.
• Ability to multi-task in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
• Ability to travel to meet project needs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills with word processing, spreadsheets and presentations.
• Ability to use internet and web-based resources efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager with cost tracking, progress, QA/QC, RFIs, and submittals.
• Contribute to takeoffs, budgeting, procurement, pull planning, scheduling, and production tracking.
• Assist in managing progress-installed quantity tracking with guidance from the PM.
• Help document QA/QC per Amteck guidelines and assemble closeout documents.
• Handle RFI submissions/responses and prepare/submittal data cross-references.
• Maintain project work-to-complete lists and punch lists; attend kickoff/site/office meetings.
• Support bid analysis and issue identification; assist with prefab solutions and scheduling.
