Job summary

Western Industrial Resources Corporation seeks a Construction Manager to lead projects from award through closeout. You will own safety, schedule, and quality while managing field crews and vendors.

The role covers planning, procurement, cost control, and closeout activities with a strong emphasis on safety, QA/QC, and team development. A 5+ year track record and OSHA 10 (30 preferred) are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in construction management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in construction management, with preferred industrial or commercial experience.
• Proven track record managing projects from start to finish.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, scheduling, cost control, and procurement.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations; OSHA 10 required, OSHA 30 preferred.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, Excel, MS Office).
• Valid driver's license; ability to pass background check and drug screen; willingness to travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Review contract documents, drawings, specs, and scope to define project requirements.
• Develop project execution plans, schedules, and resource-loaded work plans.
• Procure equipment, materials, and long-lead items.
• Coordinate material deliveries, expediting, and vendor communications.
• Lead daily field operations, coordinating trades (electrical, civil, structural steel, mechanical, coatings).
• Resolve field conflicts, RFIs, and design/constructability issues to the Electrical Manager.
• Monitor productivity and earned value.
• Enforce company and client safety programs; lead by example on site.
• Ensure JHAs, permits, LOTO, and site-specific safety requirements are in place.
• Investigate incidents and drive corrective actions.
• Implement QA/QC plans, inspections, testing, and punch lists.
• Lead and develop Foremen, Journeyman & Apprentices.
• Prepare progress reports, meeting minutes, and project documentation as needed.
• Manage punch lists, commissioning support, as‑builts, O&M manuals, and turnover packages.
