Job summary

Bilfinger Industrial Services Inc. seeks an Electrical Construction Manager in Mehoopany, PA to lead detailed planning and scheduling of electrical work, ensuring safety and alignment with design, budget, and schedule requirements.

The ideal candidate holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management with 2–3 years of industrial construction experience, strong communication, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management; 2–3 years industrial construction experience.
• Experience with electrical construction, safety, and quality.
• Strong written and verbal communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• LEAN principles preferred; OSHA 30 training preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects; collaboration and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Detailed planning and scheduling of electrical work.
• Integrate engineering information packages and develop construction plans for field and supervision.
• Review design drawings for constructability and completeness.
• Ensure safety procedures are specified and documented on all jobs.
• Develop plans for completion of work orders, including labor estimates and material lists.
• Develop detailed construction plans for field and supervision.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Engineering and suppliers to order parts and list in work order plan.
• Plan detailed shutdown and turnaround work.
• Collaborate with other Construction Managers to align goals.
• Interface with Owner and Engineers; liaison between design firms and field crews.
• Manage construction costs including change orders.
• Prepare subcontractor bid packages.

Electrical Construction Manager

Bilfinger Industrial Services Inc.known as a leading provider of complex, comprehensive industrial services is seeking anElectrical Construction Managerat our Mehoopany, PA location. This position requires a self-motivated individual to perform the detailed planning and scheduling of construction work and ensure that the project is constructed safely and in accordance with all design, budget, and schedule requirements.

Responsibilities include

• This individual will be responsible for the detailed planning and scheduling of the electrical work to which they are assigned.
• Integrate multiple engineering information packages and develop construction plans and other deliverables for the field and supervision.
• Reviewing engineering information packages including design drawings for constructability and completeness.
• Insures that proper safety procedures are specified and documented on all planned jobs.
• Develops a plan for completion of all work orders, including an estimate of the labor required and a listing of the parts or materials needed.
• Developing detailed construction plans and other deliverables for the field and supervision.
• Work with Procurement, Engineering and outside suppliers as required to order all parts and materials required to complete any given task and lists them in the work order plan.
• Participates in planning detailed shutdown and turnaround work.
• Work closely with other Construction Managers to ensure job is running as a unit toward a common goal.
• Direct interface with Owner & Engineers.
• Ability to be the liason between the design firms and field crews and provide timely feedback.
• Responsible for Construction Cost Management including change orders for jobs they are responsible for.
• Subcontractor bid package writing.

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate should have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management, with 2 to 3 years of Industrial Construction experience.
• Prior experience with electrical construction, safety, and quality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management and organizational skills are required.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required.
• Understanding of LEAN principles preferred.
• OSHA 30 Training preferred.
• Capable of handling multiple projects
• Collaboration and team building skills.
• Paper converting experience is highly preferred.
