About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead construction and field engineering operations for an industrial project site. This role is responsible for building and leading a high-performing site team, maintaining strong client relationships, supporting safe and efficient execution, and ensuring work is completed in alignment with company standards, contract requirements, project goals, and business objectives. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who can balance safety, quality, schedule, cost, people leadership, and client service in a fast‑paced construction environment.

What You’ll Do

• Lead, mentor, and support site employees and supervisors while promoting accountability, collaboration, respect, and equitable treatment.
• Build and maintain appropriate site staffing levels, including succession planning, recruiting support, and development of key site roles.
• Provide meaningful performance feedback, complete employee evaluations, support coaching and development, and partner with HR resources when performance improvement support is needed.
• Facilitate site leadership meetings and help align the full site team around shared project and business goals.

Champion Safety and Compliance

• Lead with safety as a core responsibility and actively support a zero‑injury jobsite culture.
• Oversee site safety expectations and ensure work is performed in compliance with applicable regulations, company procedures, and client requirements.
• Partner with the Site Safety Manager to support incident prevention, investigations, behavioral observations, safety goals, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Promote employee engagement programs that reinforce safe work practices and strong field‑level participation.

Drive Project Execution

• Lead construction, field engineering, and self‑perform crew activities to support safe, efficient, and high‑quality project execution.
• Establish project objectives, site procedures, performance expectations, quality standards, and execution requirements within company policy and client expectations.
• Coordinate effectively with clients, engineering teams, field supervision, self‑perform crews, subcontractors, procurement, internal stakeholders, and labor resources.
• Participate in walkdowns, bid evaluations, project reviews, material planning, and purchasing coordination to support scope definition, schedule alignment, and best‑value execution.
• Monitor schedule, cost, forecasting, daily reporting, change management, site performance, client‑driven KPIs, quality completion, and project closeout activities.

Manage Client, Contract, and Commercial Expectations

• Serve as a key site contact for the client and maintain open, professional, and productive relationships aligned with agreed‑upon performance expectations.
• Understand owner/client contract documents, subcontract requirements, and commercial expectations to support successful execution and risk management.
• Ensure estimates, changes, and funding commitments are reviewed and approved by the owner/client as required before work proceeds.
• Review subcontractor bids, awards, contracts, amendments, and related commercial documents within delegated authority.
• Manage contract‑related financial responsibilities, material purchasing impacts, and commercial decisions in a manner that protects company interests while supporting strong client relationships.

Support Labor, Staffing, and Local Relationships

• Monitor local and regional labor resources, construction market conditions, staffing needs, and workforce availability.
• Support field personnel and labor relations activities, including equal opportunity and affirmative action requirements where applicable.
• Coordinate with the Operations Manager on labor strategy discussions, business‑agent meetings, and labor agreement negotiations where union direct‑hire craft resources are used.
• Represent the company professionally in local, client, and community interactions.

• Ability to analyze and interpret project KPI’s: cost, schedule, staffing, safety, quality, and operational data.
• Solid understanding of industrial construction execution, field engineering, self‑perform crew management, subcontract management, material procurement, project controls, and site leadership practices.
• Working knowledge of construction estimating, scheduling, cost control, and project controls principles, including experience creating and maintaining estimates and schedules using appropriate software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Procore, Excel, or similar tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining focus on safety, quality, schedule, cost, and client service.

Work Environment And Physical Requirements

• Ability to travel by plane or vehicle as required.
• Frequent worksite presence is required, including standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, stooping, lifting, and bending.
• Regular use of phone and computer systems for communication, reporting, documentation, and project coordination.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 10–15 years of relevant industrial facility construction management experience required.
