Job summary

ArchKey Solutions LLC seeks a Construction Management Intern – Service to support cost estimation and planning for electrical projects. Based at a regional ArchKey office or project, you will work with project teams gaining hands-on experience in the construction industry.

You are enrolled in Construction Management or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and possess strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree or certificate program in Construction Management, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Interest in learning more about electrical construction and project management.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quantity takeoffs and material cost calculations for construction and service projects.
• Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to help prepare cost estimates.
• Work with project teams to gather information and support project planning.
• Assist with researching vendor and material pricing and maintaining current cost information.
• Support bid preparation and participate in preconstruction and planning meetings.
• Gain exposure to how electrical service projects are estimated, planned, and executed.
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members while learning about careers in electrical construction.
