Job summary

Longenecker & Associates (L&A), a Geosyntec Company, seeks an LBNF/DUNE Electrical Construction Manager to support Fermilab in Lead, SD.

You will coordinate installation, procurement and planning for electrical infrastructure up to 15 kV, review design documents, manage schedules, and ensure compliance with codes and QA. The role requires 12–15 years of experience, ABET-credited engineering degrees, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree with 15+ years in engineering or a Master’s/PhD with 12+ years experience.
• Fundamental knowledge of electrical discipline theories and project planning for small-to-medium projects.
• Experience with low/medium voltage power infrastructure (up to 15 kV).
• Experience working in manufacturing, industrial, or research settings.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate installation, procurement, and planning for electrical infrastructure up to 15 kV.
• Understand electrical/design/construction documents for LBNF/DUNE facilities at SURF.
• Attend daily planning meetings with multiple teams to align installation activities.
• Develop and review resource-loaded work schedules and work packages.
• Coordinate with architectural/engineering firms and electrical contractors.
• Oversee electrical installation contracts and QA processes.
• Produce 3D and 2D drawings and maintain as-built information across CAD platforms.
• Ensure compliance with codes and company QA systems.
• Support project operations planning, BIM, and procurement activities.
