Job summary

Bridgers & Paxton Engineers seeks an Electrical Construction Administrator for our Commercial Group in the Phoenix metro area, including the Mesa office. The role supports projects moving from design into construction and acts as the design team representative on site, coordinating with the Owner’s rep, contractors, and internal engineers.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in electrical construction or related degrees with construction-phase experience and can travel primarily for day trips.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical construction facilities projects is required or preferred.
• Ability to travel, primarily day trips, is required.
• Strong ability to prepare reports and coordinate with design and field teams.

Responsibilities

• Visit project sites regularly to observe construction progress and quality.
• Prepare written site visit reports and meeting minutes.
• Assist in developing opinions of probable construction cost.
• Review contractor submittals for equipment and materials.
• Respond to RFIs and provide supplemental information.
• Attend construction meetings and help with meeting minutes.
• Review schedules, values, and submittal logs.
• Identify work not in conformance with the construction documents.
• Review pay applications related to scope of services.
• Assist in evaluating change order requests.
• Participate in system start-up, commissioning, and closeout activities.
• Prepare and distribute punch lists.
• Review as-built documents and closeout documentation.
• Support warranty-phase activities including one-year warranty reviews.
