Florida Polytechnic University invites applications for several tenure-equivalent faculty positions in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, beginning August 2027. The department offers B.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering and an M.S.

in Electrical and Computer Engineering. We seek candidates who can teach, mentor, and contribute to applied research and industry collaborations.

Qualifications

Instructor requires a Master's degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in electrical engineering or computer engineering.
Assistant Professor requires Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or closely related field, completed before start date.
Associate Professor/Professor requires the above and six years at the rank of Assistant Professor or equivalent.
Evidence of effective university-level teaching is required for all ranks.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in electrical and computer engineering, including hands-on laboratory and design courses.
Build a research program with tangible outcomes (Assistant Professor and above).
Mentor undergraduate and graduate students, including senior design and research projects.
Contribute to department and University service and shared governance.
