The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Grove City College invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering. Passion for teaching fundamentals of electrical and computer engineering at the bachelor's level is essential, along with an interest in applied research. Individuals with expertise across a wide range of areas related to electrical and computer engineering will be considered. The department has both B.S. in Electrical Engineering and B.S. in Computer Engineering programs, an interdisciplinary Robotics minor, and a growing mechatronics and student research focus. The department also supports an ABET-accredited B.S. in Computer Science, a B.S. in Computer Programming, and a B.S. in Data Science.
The department seeks applicants who support its commitment to academic excellence, undergraduate teaching and research, hands-on interdisciplinary engineering design, and advising within the context of a college community that values liberal arts education, the life of the Christian mind, and service for the common good. Individuals with a strong industry background are especially encouraged to apply. Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate courses, including laboratory courses, and advising interdisciplinary senior capstone design projects.
A PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or another closely related field of engineering or science is required. Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in teaching in both classroom and laboratory settings. Although undergraduate teaching is the primary focus at Grove City College, student/faculty research and other scholarly work are highly valued, and applicants should have the ability and a plan to carry on research and/or other scholarly work. A courtesy appointment in the Department of Computer Science will be considered for appropriately qualified candidates.
