Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking aspiring Electrical Engineers to join the Components, Libraries, and Obsolescence team. This onsite role focuses on component engineering for circuit card designs, turning concepts into robust, producible parts and interfacing with internal and external teams.

You will contribute across the lifecycle from development through production, present findings in reviews, and help mitigate obsolescence while aligning with customer requirements.

The Parts, Libraries, and Obsolescence Department is looking for individuals to provide Components Engineering support for the circuit card design process, turning designs into robust and reliable reality.Individuals will interface with multiple internal stakeholders and external suppliers to develop high quality producible designs.Team members will be exposed to all phases of the circuit card lifecycle from development through production and will present their findings through program design reviews.

What You Will Do:
  • We are looking for aspiring Electrical Engineers to support the following Component Engineering focus ensuring cost effective and robust parts are used to ensure successful products, by selecting, specifying, and determining application adherence for electrical components.
  • Individuals will interface with multiple internal stakeholders and external suppliers to develop component risk and verification data packages that will support component selections and provide justification to program customers.Component Engineers will identify parts to be included on the preferred parts list, drive usage of these standardized parts, provide recommendations to mitigate obsolescence issues, and identify solutions to meet customer component requirements.
  • Team members will be exposed to all phases of the circuit card lifecycle from development through production and will present their findings through program design reviews.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) degree obtained by start date.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: circuit design, circuit analysis, digital electronics, analog circuits, power design, RF design or printed circuit board design.
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Technical working knowledge of electronic components (e.g. semiconductor, passive and/or electromechanical commodities) and their application.
  • Board layout experience of single and multi-lamination boards.
  • PCB manufacturing and Circuit card assembly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to effectively multi-task

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
