Job summary

Stadler is seeking an Electrical Commodity Buyer to manage strategic sourcing for electrical components for rail vehicle production. You will develop commodity strategies, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure timely, cost-effective supply aligned with project timelines and technical specs.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years in industrial purchasing, with strong Excel and ERP experience. English fluency is essential; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or similar field.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Industrial or Manufacturing purchasing.
• Resilient and independent personality.
• Strong organizational skills and efficient working methods.
• Very experienced with Microsoft Office and ERP system (preferable Infor COM).
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for electrical commodities.
• Lead commercial negotiations for pricing, contracts, and long-term agreements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production to align procurement with timelines and specs.
• Manage supplier relationships and drive cost, quality, and delivery improvements.
• Read and interpret drawings, BOMs, and specifications to support procurement.
