M.C. Dean is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Technician 2 to support testing, maintenance, and installation of electrical equipment under close supervision. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience while collaborating with more experienced technicians.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma with four years of experience or equivalent training, and the ability to pass a background check and drug test. A valid drivers license is also needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in testing and maintenance of site/field equipment.
• Support the installation, rearrangement, and removal of equipment and associated wiring.
• Perform basic testing, moving, and adjustments of equipment.
• Assist in field construction inspection to ensure compliance with NETA specifications and plans.
• Maintain records and report inspection activities.
• Understand and apply basic knowledge of mathematics, engineering measuring devices, and safety procedures (including LOTO).
• Prep equipment for testing as directed by the commissioning lead.
• Assist in the operation of load banks and equipment with proper PPE.
• Participate in Operational Risk Management meetings (ORMs).
