Job summary

WR Engineering is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to support delivery of critical electrical infrastructure for US data center projects. The role requires hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and ownership of commissioning activities across project sites.

Ideal candidates have strong experience with electrical testing, ability to interpret drawings, and a readiness to travel to sites. You will work closely with contractors and client teams to ensure successful handover and project

Qualifications

• Electrical commissioning experience in data centers or other mission-critical environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical distribution and critical power systems.
• Ability to read single-line diagrams and electrical schematics.
• Confident troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70E electrical safe-working practices.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.
• Encouraged: UPS field service, electrical testing or critical power backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute commissioning procedures and functional test scripts.
• Support load-bank testing, failover testing and integrated systems testing.
• Diagnose faults and coordinate corrective actions with manufacturers and contractors.

• Complete commissioning reports and support project handover.

We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to support the delivery of critical electrical infrastructure across US data center projects.

This role suits an engineer with strong electrical testing and troubleshooting experience who can take ownership of commissioning activities, resolve technical issues and work closely with contractors and client teams.

The Role

• Commission and test critical electrical systems, including UPS, switchgear, generators, ATS/STS and power distribution equipment.
• Develop and execute commissioning procedures and functional test scripts.
• Support load-bank testing, failover testing and integrated systems testing.
• Diagnose faults and coordinate corrective actions with equipment manufacturers and contractors.
