What You’ll Do
Electrical Calibration (Lab & Field)
- Calibrate a wide range of electrical and electronic test equipment on your own: DMMs, clamp meters, power supplies, process calibrators, insulation/hipot testers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, frequency counters, and electronic loads
- Run calibrations with multifunction calibrators (e.g., Fluke 5522A), reference DMMs, and other lab standards, both manually and with automated procedures (MET/CAL or similar)
- Troubleshoot and repair instruments down to the component level
- Evaluate out-of-tolerance conditions, perform adjustments, and record as-found/as-left data
- Write or update procedures for new or unusual instruments
Dimensional & Mechanical
- Calibrate calipers, micrometers, height gauges, torque wrenches, and pressure gauges as needed
- Maintain and verify lab reference and working standards, and track their recalibration schedules
- Support measurement uncertainty work, internal audits, and ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation assessments
- Monitor and document lab environmental conditions
Field Service
- Lead on-site calibration jobs at customer facilities such as manufacturing plants, machine shops, and labs
- Coordinate schedules, scope, and site access with customers and the Field Calibration Supervisor
Documentation
- Review and complete calibration certificates, data sheets, repair reports, and traceability records accurately
Customer & Team
- Serve as a technical point of contact for customers; explain findings, out-of-tolerance results, and repair recommendations
- Train and mentor junior technicians on procedures, standards, and documentation
