Job summary

Micro Precision Calibration Inc. is seeking a dedicated calibration technician to service a range of electrical, industrial, and temperature instruments in our local lab and at customer sites. You will perform calibration on diverse equipment, collect data, and ensure certifications are completed accurately.

Responsibilities include maintaining standards, sharing knowledge with teammates, and communicating issues clearly by phone or email while upholding safety and quality guidelines.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License
• Knowledge of mechanical and dimensional equipment preferred
• Experience with basic instrumentation and manual tools preferred
• Basic mathematics understanding
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience with MS Word and Excel
• Ability to work independently or under supervision of Senior Technicians
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance

Responsibilities

• Calibrate a variety of test instruments across electrical, industrial, and temperature domains
• Collect calibration data and record on data sheets; complete calibration certifications
• Maintain company standards and participate in training across calibration services
• Communicate calibration issues and procedures clearly to customers and coworkers by phone, email, or in person
• Observe safety precautions and quality standards during tasks
• Travel up to 25% to customer facilities as needed

Description

Responsible for calibrating a variety of test instruments for one or more skill areas, such as:

• Electrical Equipment
• Industrial Equipment
• Temperature Equipment

Perform standards maintenance & checking of company standards if assigned by Lab Manager

Collect calibration data and record information on data sheets. Complete calibration certifications, including out of tolerance conditions.

Continue to be trained in all aspects of Micro Precision Calibration Services and share gained knowledge and other best practices with other team members

Observe safety precautions and quality standards in the performance of tasks and compliy with the company

Clearly communicate calibration issues and procedures with customers and coworkers on the phone, in person and through email

Requirements

Training

We accept applicants new to the calibration industry who are eager to learn

Work Environment

• Work performed in the local laboratory and at customer facilities
• Up to 25% out of town, overnight travel
