Job summary

Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking a CADD Designer for our Electrical team in Irvine with remote work options. You will support construction drawings for civil infrastructure, collaborating with Project Managers and Engineers to deliver professional outputs.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate degree in CADD, have 5 years of experience, and are proficient with AutoCAD; REVIT is a plus. The role offers remote flexibility and occasional overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dimensional drawings and modify base drawings to reflect design changes.
• Create and manage electronic document file structures per company standards.
• Work with project teams to ensure drawings meet customer requirements during bid and submittal phases.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
• Follow CAD standards set by the customer and Tetra Tech.

Position Summary:

Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to set up and manage construction drawings for a variety of projects related mostly to civil infrastructure.

Essential Job Functions:

• Prepare dimensional drawings, create and/or modify base drawings
• Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes
• Create and manage electronic document file structure, naming conventions in accordance with company standards
• Work a typical set of project documents from beginning to end with professional quality output
• Work on multiple projects at the same time to successful completion
• Follow CAD standards, whether the customer's or Tetra Tech's
• Work with project teams on drawings which meet and exceed the customer's requirements (bid and submittal phase).
• Manage priorities while being involved in multiple projects at the same time.

Required Qualifications:

• Associates degree in CADD or a related field.
• 5 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD
• Knowledge using Autodesk REVIT is a plus
• Excellent communications skills: Interpersonal, listening, oral and written
• Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office
• Able to generate layout drawings from sketches and specifications
• Familiar with design parameters related to electrical work for buildings and water and wastewater treatment plants.
• Knowledgeable of standard drafting practices and procedures
• Able to work with minimal supervision, exercise independent judgment
• Able to efficiently schedule and manage time
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member
• Must be able to achieve generally stated objectives and requirements

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and using a computer
