Job summary

Flexton Inc. is seeking an experienced CAD engineer to design electrical systems for complex projects. You will develop manufacturing-ready documentation, BOMs, and wire schedules, ensuring revisions are controlled within PLM/PDM systems.

Strong knowledge of electrical principles and wiring practices is required. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of CAD experience using Inventor, AutoCAD Electrical, and KiCad, and familiarity with industry standards. DOE/industrial project exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Drafting/Design, or related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience producing electrical CAD designs using Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD Electrical, KiCad, or equivalent software.
Demonstrated experience developing manufacturing-ready electrical documentation, including: Bills of materials.
Demonstrated experience developing manufacturing-ready electrical documentation, including: Wire and cable schedules.
Experience developing and maintaining revision-controlled engineering documentation within Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
Working knowledge of electrical engineering principles, electrical components, schematic development, and wiring practices.
Familiarity with applicable industry standards and codes relevant to electrical design activities.
