Job summary

Kiewit Industrial & Water Engineering in Lone Tree, CO seeks an Electrical CAD Designer to support the drafting and design group. The role focuses on developing schematics, 3D models, cable routing and deliverables while applying NEC standards and company drawings.

Ideal candidates have an associates or bachelor’s in design or engineering technology and 0–2 years electrical design experience; familiarity with MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks; strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Associates, Vocational or Bachelor's degree in Design & Drafting Technology, Engineering Technology or Design or a related degree.
• 0-2 years of electrical design experience or related field experience preferred but not required.
• Experience utilizing 3D programs such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit, AutoCAD MEP, or Navisworks and knowledge of latest computer operating systems.
• Must be able to conceptualize in a 3D environment.
• Must be able to communicate through emails and utilize electronic meeting requests.

Responsibilities

• Reports project progression updates and/or issues to Lead Electrical Designers.
• Coordinates with project team using project database tools and RFIs from other disciplines.
• Develops schematics and one-line drawings from sketches or mark-ups.
• Designs duct bank, embedded conduit, cable tray, grounding and lighting systems from concept to completion.
• Develops 3D models and checks for interferences and constructability.
