Position Scope and Organizational Impact

The Electrical Buyer is responsible for executing Moss's procurement strategy, ensuring project materials are available, reviewing specifications, and maintaining material lead times. This role reports directly to the Procurement Manager and requires professional interaction with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform electrical take-offs to support accurate material orders
• Create and submit RFQs by product category and project portfolio
• Obtain specifications and product data for submittals
• Manage and reconcile outstanding submittals
• Prepare and issue purchase orders
• Analyze and distribute drawing revisions at each development stage
• Update electrical logs based on PO issuance
• Coordinate inventory movement from Moss warehouse to jobsites
• Process material requisitions accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Meet regularly with project staff to review status and delivery needs
• Maintain high attention to detail and follow-through
• Take on new tasks and learn proactively
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Education and Work Experience

• Associates Degree required; Bachelor’s preferred
• Minimum 2-3 years of procurement experience
• Experience in the solar industry preferred
• Proficient with MS Office; familiar with ERPs and database maintenance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of construction and solar project requirements
• Ability to build and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Adaptability to dynamic project environments
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
