LayerZero Power Systems, Inc. in Streetsboro, OH is seeking a Breaker Testing Operator to configure, test, and calibrate electrical breakers, ensuring safe and reliable power distribution for mission-critical environments.

You will support engineering, maintenance, and operations, document results, and uphold NEC/OSHA safety standards while advancing our projects. The role requires reading schematics, setting trip curves, and collaborating with technicians.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with electrical systems, circuit breakers, or power distribution equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and blueprints.
• Familiarity with breaker configuration tools and relay settings.
• Knowledge of NEC, OSHA, and electrical safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Configure and set up circuit breakers according to engineering specifications and operational requirements.
• Perform calibration and adjustment of breaker protection settings (trip curves, overload protection, fault settings, etc.).
• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Conduct testing and verification of breaker performance and functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve configuration or operational issues in breaker systems.
• Maintain accurate records of configurations, test results, and system changes.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations (e.g., NEC, OSHA, IEEE).
• Support installation, maintenance, and commissioning of electrical distribution systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and project managers on system upgrades and improvements.
• Assist in root cause analysis for breaker failures or electrical incidents.
