Job Description
This position is responsible for the repair, modification, and replacement of parts on electronic units.
Shift: Monday through Friday, 6am - 2pm EST
Roles & Responsibilities
- Analyze failed phones according to established methods and procedures.
- Resolve technical issues within the scheduled time and provide break and fix solutions using OEM standards.
- Disassemble and reassemble cell phones into good cosmetic condition.
- Remove LCDs from back-housings and replace with new ones.
- Remove motherboards and batteries.
- Replace screws and make component replacements.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned based on needs.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of ESD safety protocols and ability to pass ESD exams.
- Complete understanding of phone components.
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance.
- Basic troubleshooting skills and rework experience with cell phones.
- Basic computer skills for documenting repairs.
- Flexibility to work irregular or extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to operate test equipment.
- Ability to read schematics.
- Good manual dexterity.
- Soldering and de-soldering skills are a plus.
- Excellent analytical and attention to detail skills.
- Ability to perform surface mount and through-hole soldering techniques.
- Experience operating automated repair equipment (e.g., BGA machine).
- Computer skills for accurate data entry.
