Job summary

Kurita America is seeking an Electrical BIM Engineer to design 3D electrical models and coordinate onsite BIM for construction projects. You will create, modify, and review 3D models of panels, conduits, and cable trays using BIM tools, and collaborate with design and field teams.

The role requires strong knowledge of electrical drawings and codes, experience with AutoCAD, Navisworks, Plant 3D, and Revit, and the ability to read customer specifications.

Qualifications

• Ability to create and interpret electrical drawings, including single-line diagrams, schematic diagrams, panel drawings, and wiring diagrams.
• Strong basic knowledge of electrical and control system design.
• Knowledge of electrical standards and codes such as UL, NEC, and NEMA.
• Proficiency in CAD/BIM tools (AutoCAD, Navisworks, Plant 3D, Revit).

Responsibilities

• Develop models of panels, electrical conduits, cable trays and instruments based on the piping skid model.
• Develop family files for panels, electrical conduits, cable trays, and instruments as needed.
• Review of Customer System Specifications and complete Master Project List.
• Perform clash detection and coordinate resolutions.
• Update and manage model data, including attribute information.
• Collaborate with design and production teams for data integration.
• Ensure compliance with BIM standards and modeling guidelines.
• Support quantity take-off and shop drawing preparation.

We are seeking an Electrical BIM (Building Information Modeling) Engineer with expertise in electrical design for construction site projects. The responsibilities of this role include 3D model design for electrical systems as well as on-site BIM coordination. In this position, you will be responsible for creating, modifying, and reviewing 3D models of cable trays and conduits for construction projects using BIM software.
