Job summary

DPR Construction in Dallas seeks an Electrical BIM Detailer / VDC Engineer to develop and coordinate model‑based fabrication and installation information for DPR projects with EIG Electrical Systems teams. You will implement BIM workflows, support 3D coordination, and mentor staff in Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam, enabling efficient field operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or similar with emphasis on technology or equivalent experience useful.
Minimum 5+ years of electrical field experience and construction technologies in the AEC industry with VDC adoption on large projects.
Journeyman’s license is a plus.

Responsibilities

Configure and set up project sites to host BIM data adhering to current best practices.
Create and coordinate detailed fabrication models for planning, design, coordination and prefab of electrical work.
Support 3D trade coordination, site logistics, and 4D sequencing efforts.
Participate in model-based design coordination meetings and coordinate with trade partners.
Support BIM to field equipment/software setup and template improvement.
Provide training for BIM software such as Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam.
