Job summary

OEG is seeking a BIM/CAD Operator to create and modify electrical project models using Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks and related tools in a collaborative design environment. You will set up views, annotate shop drawings, coordinate 3D models with other trades, and prepare documents for transmittal while meeting deadlines.

Requires an associate degree or equivalent experience and at least 2 years in electrical construction; proficiency with plotting systems and MS Office; travel minimal.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CAD or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of electrical construction industry experience with knowledge of electrical symbols and drafting conventions.

Responsibilities

• Model electrical systems based on markup drawings and verbal direction.
• Setup Revit views and sheets for shop drawings.
• Annotate and dimension shop drawings for field installation.
• Use Bluebeam Revu to markup PDFs and communicate with team.
• Prepare copies and transmittal sets for other parties.
• Download drawings from Web/SharePoint/BIM360 and coordinate with project teams.
• Check own work for accuracy before passing on to others.
• Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
