Responsibilities

The Summer Employment Opportunity Program (SEOP) provides temporary summer employment for children, step-children, and spouses of Mayo Clinic employees enrolled in a college degree program. The role of Electrical Assistant involves locating and verifying electrical panel schedule information, cleaning electrical closets, and gaining exposure to the electrical distribution system within a hospital environment.

Qualifications
  • Must be a child, step-child, or spouse of a current Mayo Clinic employee.
  • Must be enrolled in a degree-granting program.
  • Must be returning to college in the fall.
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 10 weeks.
  • Must be at least 18 years old by the start of the program.

SEOP employees should not expect vacation or days off to be approved during their commitment.

Additional Details

Exemption Status: Nonexempt

Compensation: $16.00 per hour

Benefits Eligible: No

Schedule: Full Time, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., June-August

Hours per Pay Period: 80
