Job summary

ABB in Fort Smith, Arkansas, is seeking a Production & Assembly team member to help produce quality, defect-free motors by connecting, clamping, and brazing wires, following detailed instructions and using hand tools.

You will read diagrams and Shop Floor Display data, cross-train across tasks, and support testing, shaping, lacing, and sleeving while maintaining safety and daily housekeeping. Overtime and reliable attendance are expected.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months of industrial or military experience preferred.
• Must pass background and drug screen.
• Proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing English is essential.
• Overtime willingness and regular attendance required.

Responsibilities

• Production & Assembly: connect, clamp, and braze wires on motors using hand tools and follow detailed manufacturing instructions to produce quality, defect-free products that meet production goals.
• Read diagrams and comprehend diagrams, TDRs, and special instructions using Shop Floor Display; understand flex flow and day/rank systems.
• Cross-train and assist with testing, shaping, lacing, and sleeving; support other team functions and communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
• Safety & housekeeping: prioritize safety, report issues, maintain daily housekeeping, and be willing to work overtime and perform other duties as needed.
