Job summary

AMF Bakery Systems in Virginia seeks an Electrical Assembly Technician to build control panels, junction boxes and wire machines, with or without drawings. You will interpret instructions and work in a safe, structured assembly environment.

Candidates should have trade schooling in electrical fields, experience with electrical assembly, ability to read schematics and NEC practices, and be prepared to lift up to 50 pounds and operate a forklift when required. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Trade school education with electrical focus is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and written instructions.
• Strong electrical aptitude and knowledge of NEC code and wiring techniques.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and follow verbal, written, and drawn instructions.
• Assemble electrical components onto back panels and equipment.
• Wire components according to specifications and standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and functional work area.
• Complete tasks within established timeframes while meeting quality and safety requirements (including lockout/tagout procedures).
• Report assembly progress and recommend countermeasures to maintain or recover schedules.
• Identify and suggest productivity and quality improvements to supervisors and engineers.
