Job summary

Central Power Systems & Services is seeking an Electrical Assembly Technician to join the Production team. You will assemble, wire, and test electrical control boxes, panels, and custom harnesses for generator systems, reading schematics and wiring diagrams to meet specifications.

You will work closely with Production and Engineering to support changes, prototypes, and quality standards while maintaining clean, organized, and safe work practices in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Electrical technical school certificate or education in Electrical Technology, Automotive Technology, Diesel Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Two or more years of electrical assembly, electrical wiring, controls, or related experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, components, and electrical assembly practices.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire electrical control boxes, panels, and wire harnesses according to drawings and specs.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and assembly instructions.
• Cut, strip, route, terminate, crimp, and solder wires using proper tools.
• Install and connect electrical components with proper routing, labeling, and connections.
• Collaborate with Engineering on drawings, changes, and product improvements.
• Assist with wire harness design and assembly for prototypes and custom generator applications.
• Verify components and assemblies against blueprints and parts lists.
• Inspect completed assemblies for quality and accuracy.
• Test and troubleshoot circuits and harnesses with a digital multimeter and diagnostic equipment.
