Job summary

MSA Safety in Reno, NV is seeking a Production Technician for 1st shift. Starting pay is $20.00–$28.00/hr, depending on experience. Openings: 1.

You will wire and solder, terminate wiring, and assemble mechanical and electrical components at our Reno manufacturing site. Responsibilities include reading wiring diagrams and BOMs, material handling, safe workstation maintenance, and following blueprints with high attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years experience in manufacturing, assembly or production environment.
• Capacity to read wiring diagrams, wire lists, schematics, and follow visual assembly instructions.
• Competency using small hand tools (e.g., strippers, crimpers, torque drivers, calipers).
• Ability to perform light lifting (typically up to 20-25lbs).
• High level of focus and patience to follow exact blueprints and prevent assembly errors.

Responsibilities

• Wiring and soldering.
• Termination: strip, crimp, and terminate various wire types and sizes to terminal blocks, relays, contactors, and PLCs.
• Tubing and general assembly of mechanical and electrical components.
• Material handling.
• Workstation upkeep including adherence to safety and housekeeping standards.
• Blueprint reading: interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and BOMs to plan the layout.
• Component Mounting: install DIN rail, wire duct, and electrical components securely using standard hardware and hand tools.
