Job summary

Berner International LLC is seeking an Electrical Assembly Specialist for the 2nd shift in New Castle, PA. The role involves assembling and wiring air curtain units, reading wiring diagrams, and ensuring quality in a team setting.

You will handle 110v–600v equipment, operate test equipment, and participate in a lean production environment while maintaining safety and accuracy standards.

Qualifications

• Basic electrical wiring experience preferred.
• Able to read and interpret visual and written production procedures.
• Able to read wire diagrams and ladder diagrams.
• Must be able to use a tape measure and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire air curtain units from wiring harnesses.
• Read mechanical drawings and ensure correct assembly.
• Test units and perform quality assurance checks.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and meet production deadlines.
• Monitor inventory and support team colleagues.

Job Title: Electrical Assembly Specialist - 2nd Shift
Location: New Castle, PA

• Full-Time, Non-Exempt
• 2nd shift (2:00pm - 10:00pm)
• $1 Shift Differential

What is an air curtain?

An air curtain is a machine that blows a controlled stream of air across an opening to create an air seal. This air seal not only saves energy it also provides comfortable environments by keeping out bugs, dust, fumes, and extreme temperatures.

Duties and Responsibilities

Our Electrical Assembly Specialists have industrial electrical experience, are detail-oriented, and have a passion for quality. This position is responsible for completing the assembly and wiring of various air curtain units. Wiring

• Completing wire starting from a wiring harness
• Cutting, stripping, and crimping as needed
• Dealing with 110v - 600v electrical equipment, depending on the product
• Read and understand ladder wire diagram

Mechanical

• Material handling, drilling, inserting rivets and nutserts into metal and aluminum
• Read mechanical drawings of the air curtains

Air Curtain Testing

• Check voltage with a voltage meter
• Operate air curtain to ensure unit is operating as ordered
• Complete Quality Assurance check sheet
• Energize motors
• Troubleshoot, as needed

General Duties

• Maintain a clean and safe workspace
• Work well with fellow assembly workers
• Monitor inventory as needed
• Ensure work orders are completed on time
• Maintain quality control of air curtain units

Qualifications And Skills

• Basic electrical wiring, industrial experience preferred
• Must be able to use a tape measure
• Power and air tools
• Must be able to read and interpret visual and written production procedures
• Ability to read wire diagrams
• Must successfully pass pre-employment screenings

Physical Demands

• Ability to shift and push/pull up to 50 pounds and lift to 3-4 feet throughout the day
• Must be able to walk and stand upright in a stationary position for up to 4 hours at a time
• Ability to work in seasonal unconditioned indoor air conditions
