Job summary

nVent is seeking an Assembly Operator to assemble electrical fastening products and components in a structured manufacturing environment. You will read blueprints or drawings, follow work instructions, and perform regular quality checks to meet nVent’s standards.

The role involves handling materials, using hand and power tools, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace while contributing to continuous improvement and meeting production schedules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
• Experience following work instructions or reading blueprints, preferred.
• Experience in assembling mechanical parts into a finished product, preferred.
• Experience in using hand and power tools, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fill, kit, prepare, label, and/or package an entire product or component of a product according to Work Instructions.
• Complete work based on specifications, drawings, job routings, and/or Work Instructions.
• Selects and moves production materials as required.
• Maintains equipment and materials necessary to complete the operation.
• Meets established safety, quality, and performance standards to ensure production schedules are met.
• Records accurate information on Manufacturing Order and performs transactions necessary to maintain accurate records and inventory balances.
• Complies with all applicable safety procedures, quality specifications, and 5S Standards.
• Adheres to department 5S standards daily. Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• In accordance with escalation procedure, notify team leader or other appropriate resource when problems arise.
• Demonstrates flexibility by performing rotational assignments as needed.
