Job summary

mastertech is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Assembler in Watertown, Wisconsin, to join our manufacturing team. Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and skilled Electrical Assembler to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical control panels and components for hoist systems and other industrial equipment. The successful candidate will ensure all electrical assemblies are completed accurately, safely, and in accordance with engineering specifications and production schedules.

Pay range: $19.00 to $24.00 per hour, based on experience, skills, and qualifications. Medical, dental, and vision benefits available starting on your first day of employment. Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Assemble electrical components, including control panels, junction boxes, terminal blocks, push buttons, relays, and related hardware.
  • Perform wiring operations such as measuring, cutting, stripping, crimping, routing, and terminating wires.
  • Mount and connect electrical components according to design specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct point‑to‑point testing, continuity checks, and functional testing to verify proper operation of assembled systems.
  • Troubleshoot assembly and wiring issues, identifying and resolving discrepancies in collaboration with engineering and production teams.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work completed and communicate any production delays, quality concerns, or material shortages to the supervisor.
  • Follow all workplace safety procedures, electrical safety standards, and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) handling protocols.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen activities, to improve efficiency and product quality.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years of experience in electrical assembly, panel building, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, wire preparation equipment, and electrical testing devices.
