OTC Industrial Technologies is seeking an Electrical Assembly Technician to build industrial control panels and electrical systems used in manufacturing and utilities. This hands-on role offers growth from basic assembly to advanced panel building, testing, and controls work.

Responsibilities include wiring, panel assembly, and following engineering drawings. Candidates from manufacturing or electrical backgrounds with a hands-on mindset are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Must have a mechanical aptitude and ability to follow instructions.
• Experience with electrical or control panel assembly is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced shop environment.

Responsabilités

• Cut, strip, label, and organize electrical wire per specs.
• Install DIN rail, wire duct, back panels, terminals, relays, breakers, and transformers.
• Mount devices from drawings and assembly instructions; ensure clean, safe workspace.
• Read schematics and assemble control panels; perform wiring terminations.
• Support with panel inspections, testing, and ongoing improvements.

This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $20.00/hr. to $30.00/hr., depending on experience and qualifications.

What You'll Do

Assembly & Production Activities

• Cut, strip, label, and organize electrical wire using production specifications
• Prepare materials and components for assembly projects
• Install DIN rail, wire duct, back panels, terminals, relays, breakers, transformers, and other electrical components
• Mount devices according to engineering drawings and assembly instructions
• Assist with material staging and shop organization
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area

Panel Building & Wiring

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings
• Route and terminate wiring within industrial control panels
• Perform point-to-point wiring and electrical terminations
• Assemble control panels, junction boxes, and related electrical equipment
• Verify wiring accuracy and ensure adherence to quality standards
• Support panel inspections and testing activities

Advanced Responsibilities (Based on Experience)

• Independently build control panels from engineering drawings
• Troubleshoot wiring and assembly issues
• Perform continuity checks and system testing
• Support startup and commissioning activities
• Assist with process improvements and production efficiency initiatives
• Mentor and train newer team members as skills develop

• Experience using hand tools, power tools, wire crimpers, and measuring devices
