Electrical Assembler - RTU Panels & Cabinets

About The Role

The Electrical Assembler will be responsible for assembling build-to-order large electrical cabinets, including Orion products, relays, knife switches, voltage monitors, ethernet switches, power distribution units, surge suppressors, and more, for electric utilities. We seek self-starters who can deliver quality products in a goal-oriented environment. Candidates should be passionate about technology and committed to continuous learning.

Responsibilities And Duties

  1. Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, and work orders to determine material requirements and assembly instructions.
  2. Assemble intricate panels and electrical wiring with organization and consistency.
  3. Use power tools, hand tools, and soldering equipment for cabinet assembly.
  4. Conceptualize end-products and measure precisely to meet quality standards.
  5. Manufacture, cut, tie, and install wires and cables, ensuring neatness and correct termination.
  6. Prepare materials for shipping, including building crates, packing, and securing loads.
  7. Maintain organization and cleanliness in work areas.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  1. High school diploma or GED; 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
  2. Experience with hand and power tools; mechanically inclined.
  3. Previous wiring experience (panel, RTU, HVAC, electrical) preferred.
  4. Ability to assemble upright cabinets for an 8-hour shift.
  5. Ability to regularly lift over 40 pounds.
  6. Effective cable management skills.
