Hours: 7:00 AM-5:30 PM Monday-Thursday.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Builds the electrical portion of all chamber models utilizing expert skills and the thorough understanding of the total process flow.
  • Works under minimum supervision.
  • Follows company engineering documents, wiring diagrams, schematics, and written work instructions with no assistance.
  • Builds sub-assemblies such as power panel assemblies, e-stop panel assemblies, cable assemblies, sub-panel assemblies, and junction box assemblies.
  • Performs all aspects of electrical panel preparation, from wire preparation and DIN rail cutting to component mounting (fuses, relays, controls, circuit breakers) and labeling.
  • Installs all electrical parts and sub-assemblies onto the chamber, ensuring accurate and complete assembly.
  • Performs all wire routing, electrical connections of pneumatics assemblies, power panel assemblies, e-stop panel assemblies, sub-panel assemblies, and junction box assemblies.
  • Pulls parts from the warehouse to fulfill work orders.
  • Ensures that all work meets pre-established due dates and quality standards.
  • Initiates Corrective and Preventive Action Requests (CPRs) when non-conformances are identified during the assembly process.
  • Uses hand tools such as wire preparation tools, wire crimpers, drills, wrenches, saws, grinders, screwdrivers and knives.
  • Anticipates and addresses potential customer problems, initiating necessary changes.
  • Recognizes and leads improvement activities to ensure the chambers meet quality standards.
  • Champions electrical safety on the production floor, ensuring the team is protected from potential hazards.
  • Enhances the capabilities of the electrical team through training and mentorship.
  • Provides electrical troubleshooting support for all products throughout the production process, utilizing tools such as multimeters, amp meters, and high pot ground impedance testers.
  • Collaborates with engineering on panel layout design and development, contributing assembly knowledge and expertise.
  • Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
  • Regular, physical attendance is required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Must be competent using a variety of tools, including screwdrivers, wire strippers, crimpers, drills, saws, and multimeters.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide required.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics required.
  • Familiarity with various electrical components is required.
  • Proficiency in wiring techniques, including proper stripping, crimping, and terminating wires required.
