ABOUT THE JOB

SUMMARY

The Electrical Assembler II is responsible for assembling and testing electrical systems and components, ensuring accurate, on-time job order completion, and maintaining inventory integrity in compliance with production standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, teamwork, and a solid foundation in soldering, quality control, and safety practices within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

CORE DUTIES

  • Strive for 100% internal on-time completion of job orders.
  • Ensure that all job orders are accurately produced within standards and procedures so we can meet 100% on-time delivery to our customers.
  • Ensure that job orders are being administered according to procedures and instructions, including proper identification labeling and warehouse storage of completed materials.
  • Perform all job material transactions associated with the job order accurately and promptly to maintain inventory integrity.
  • Maintain bin locations for product in facility using FIFO.
  • Report job order material shortages to the Work Cell Coordinator or Production Supervisor.
  • Report product defects or performance issues to the Work Cell Coordinator or Production Supervisor.
  • Continuous improvement utilizing cross-training within multiple work cells with knowledge of various processes to include electrical terminals, packaging, product assembly, and tape light soldering.
  • Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions.
  • Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, soldering or micro-welding equipment.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace electrical or electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Position, align, or adjust workpieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly.
  • Explain assembly procedures or techniques to other workers.
  • Clean parts, using cleaning solutions, air hoses, and cloths.
  • Drill or tap holes in specified equipment locations to mount control units or to provide openings for elements, wiring, or instruments.
  • Confer with supervisors or engineers to plan or review work activities or to resolve production problems.
  • Inspect or test wiring installations, assemblies, or circuits for resistance factors or for operation and record results.
  • Measure and adjust voltages to specified values to determine operational accuracy of instruments.
  • Distribute materials, supplies, or subassemblies to work areas.
  • Pack finished assemblies for shipment and transport them to storage areas.
  • Maintain work area in neat, organized fashion.
  • Follow Company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain high level of professionalism in appearance, discipline, ethics and morale.
  • Maintain a high level of teamwork.
  • Adhere to Company safety policies and procedures. Report unsafe conditions/behavior.
  • Other duties as required.

JOB DESIRABLES AND REQUIREMENTS

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

2 years soldering electrical components required; 3 to 5 years preferred.

Physical Demands:

Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Able to stand 8-10 hours per day.
