Job description

Progressive Systems Inc. has an exciting new opportunity for an Electrical Assembler! (Helper). As an Electrical Assembler (Helper) you will work with Electrical Technicians and report to the Assembly Manager. Skills needed are an entry level understanding or desire to learn Electrical Schematics, use of Electrical Testing Tools, Use of common Hand Tools, Power Tools and some level of Drilling and Tapping. Experience is desired but not essential. We can train the appropriate individual. Daily tasks will include the use of drawings, photos, schematics, and verbal direction to assist in the assembly process of custom industrial machinery. This position has the potential to become an Electrical Technician through our training.

Salary: Depends on Experience

Quarterly Performance Bonus Pay: up to $1.50 - $3.00/hr. worked

Schedule: Monday through Friday 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Overtime is available.

Job Responsibilities
  • Layout and install Fasteners for Cable Management and or Cable Management Systems
  • Measure motor cable lengths, pull and install motor and or device cabling.
  • Conduit threading, routing, and bending.
  • Some Electrical troubleshooting.
  • Perform occasional soldering of metals.
  • Utilize handheld tools such as screw and drill guns for general mechanical work.
  • Drill and tapping.
  • Perform all work in accordance with LO/TO procedures, quality standards and established safety procedures.
  • Occasional travel to install and service machinery with the Electrical Technicians.
Position Qualifications
  • 18+ years old
  • Basic reading skills
  • Must be able to follow directions
  • Basic computer navigation and utilization skills
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Experienced in Drill and Tapping
  • Proficient in the use of Hand and Power Tools
