Job summary

Progress Rail in Muncie, IN is hiring an Electrical Assembler for 2nd shift to assemble electrical components, wire harnesses, and cable routes inside electrical compartments. Shift 2:30pm-11pm with mandatory overtime; starting pay $20+ based on shift and experience.

Full-time with benefits and weekly pay, PTO, holidays, and health coverage options. The role requires reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and engineering change notices, plus the ability to lift heavy components, use hand and power

Qualifications

• Ability to read a tape measure and interpret measurements.
• Experience using hand tools for assembly and wiring.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Proficient in electrical/mechanical assembly and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Install large components and sub-assemblies into electrical compartments.
• Route and terminate cables and wires; verify correct routing.
• Follow blueprints and engineering change notices; assist in QA as needed.
• Maintain workspace cleanliness and safety; apply proper torque values.
