Job summary

LEEBOY Inc. in Lincolnton, NC, seeks an Electrical Assembler to build and test electrical systems for our pavers and heavy equipment. You will read schematics, assemble control panels, and troubleshoot circuits as part of the manufacturing team.

Ideal candidates bring 2–4 years of automotive electrical troubleshooting experience, plus the ability to apply algebra, geometry, and Ohm's law daily. This is a full-time on-site role with opportunities for hands-on development.

Qualifications

  • Two-year college or university certificate or two to four years related work experience.
  • Two to four years troubleshooting experience on automotive type electrical circuits or electrical over hydraulic circuits.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply Ohm's law on a daily basis.
  • Ability to read/interpret blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles and tests electrical devices and components such as motor control panels and solenoids.
  • Reads electrical diagrams or blueprints and builds circuits accordingly; troubleshoots when needed.
  • Modifies electrical devices under supervision of engineering resources.
  • Diagnoses causes of electrical or mechanical malfunctions and performs preventative maintenance.
  • Performs troubleshooting on electrical control systems, focusing on electrical over hydraulic controls.

About the Role

The Electrical Assembler is a full-time position based in our manufacturing plant in Lincolnton, NC. This position will report directly to the Electrical Department Supervisor. This role is responsible for building electrical systems we manufacture and more.

In This Role, You Will
  • Assembles and tests experimental motor control devices, switch panels, electronic-hydraulic controls, solenoids, and other electrical equipment and components.
  • Read and interpret electrical diagrams or blueprints and determine from these how to build the circuit or components and then be able to troubleshoot the circuit or components.
  • Modifies electrical devices under direction of appropriate engineering resources.
  • Diagnoses cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and performs preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Performs troubleshooting on electrical control systems with emphasis on electrical over hydraulic controls.
Requirements
What You Need

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Two-year college or university program certificate or two (2) to four (4) years related work experience and/or training - or - combination of education and experience.
  • Must have two (2) to four (4) years of troubleshooting experience on automotive type electrical circuits or electrical over hydraulic circuits.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply Ohm's law on a daily basis.
  • Ability to read/interpret blueprints.
Physical Demands
  • The employee is regularly required to stand and use hands/fingers.
  • The employee is frequently required to walk, reach with arms/hands.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit, talk, or hear.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.
